Budesonide / Formoterol Inhaler
A combination inhaled corticosteroid and long-acting beta2-agonist for regular maintenance treatment of asthma and COPD.
Indications
Regular maintenance treatment of asthma where a combination product is appropriate, and symptomatic COPD.
Dosage & administration
Usually one to two inhalations twice daily, adjusted to the lowest effective dose. Rinse the mouth after use.
Mechanism of action
Combines an anti-inflammatory corticosteroid with a long-acting bronchodilator for sustained airway control.
Important safety information
- Not for the relief of an acute asthma attack.
- Rinse mouth after use to reduce oral candidiasis.
- Review therapy if control deteriorates.
